Herbal and Animal Production Department
Our country has a very important position among the countries engaged in agricultural activities in the world due to the suitability of its ecological conditions, and with this feature it is the gene center of many species and varieties. Many species and varieties cultivated in the world can be grown easily depending on the suitability of our country's ecology. Our country has a very important place in world agriculture with its rich variety and suitable agricultural potential.
Our School of Herbal and Animal Production Department; aims to train qualified technicians who have sufficient knowledge and equipment about the production of vegetable and animal products, quality control of these products, preservation, preparation for the market, can meet the research and development support and other personnel needs of the public and private sector, and can develop themselves according to the conditions of the age.
Our Department, established in 2011, has Medicinal and Aromatic Plants and Plant Protection programs. Lessons are taught theoretically and practically to our students studying in these programs. In our department, which is an international department with its Turkish and foreign students, educational activities are carried out by 1 Assoc. Professor, 1 Asst. Prof. Dr. and 4 Dr. continues with. There are 2 laboratories in our department, where students can practice and students' laboratories.
Department graduates; He can work as a Technician in public institutions and can work in different units of the private sector. They can also set up their own production businesses.
Admission and registration requirements of the programs located in this section are performed within the scope of the Republic of Turkey Higher education regulations. Students who successfully complete their education in the departmental-related programs and receive sufficient points in the "Vertical Transfer Exam" can complete their undergraduate education by transferring vertically to the 4-year undergraduate programs of universities in our country and in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The language of instruction of the programs within the department is Turkish. The education period is 2 years (4 semesters) and students who successfully complete the 2-year education program are given an associate degree diploma.
